Recently, I posted this to Facebook:
I will not be doing paper mailers or asking for money. Instead, I’m asking that you consider endorsing me personally. I have rejected all group endorsements from parties and other councils in my quest to be nonpartisan. I personally find it more meaningful to be endorsed by individuals who live and work here. A vote of confidence from a community member has more weight with me than a nod from a faceless group - however large or powerful they may be.
That garnered a fair bit of discussion from people who either messaged me or talked to me in person about it. I wanted to take a moment to address this important topic face to face. Instead of describing it in a long blog, please take a few minutes and let me tell you about why I find personal endorsements from YOU to be more important to a Common Council campaign than endorsements from large groups.
I say it expressly in the video, but let me reiterate that just because I am against group endorsements for Council, it does not mean that I think ill of other candidates who seek these out.
If you're ready to endorse me for 2024 Oshkosh Common Council, please add your name and a comment to the endorsements page. Thank you! Now enjoy the video.

On Sunday March 10th, 2024 I wrote the following Facebook message to explain where the endorsements page on my website went:
Having a "fail fast" mentality means that when something isn't working I will try tweaks to make it work, but I'll also recognize when it's best to admit failure and move on. That's what I'm doing with the endorsements page on my website.
BIG THANKS to the few of you who got in an endorsement before the page was overrun with joke endorsements and then I broke the code. It's been a joy seeing people share posts and make their own endorsements on social media. Thanks to you all.
If you'd like me to put together one of those fun endorsement cards for you with a picture and a little quote like I feature in the last bit of this video, just shoot me a message.
Have a beautiful week, everyone!
